Water trail through the city park
The city park comes alive with water and you can take the Water Trail! Can you find the pools hidden in the city park? Along the nature trail you will walk past restored old ponds, discover dragonfly ponds and enjoy views of Vrchlabí and the nearby mountains.
Cemetery Trail For the memory of Vrchlabí
Accept the invitation to walk along the final resting places of important personalities connected with the history of the Krkonoše town of Vrchlabí. In addition, you will enjoy the peace and quiet that the cemetery usually provides, complemented by beautiful views of the town and the surrounding hills.
Questing with Gendorf
Explore the beauty of Vrchlabí with one of the most important figures in the town's history. Questing with Gendorf will show you where to go. Questing is a fun game for children and adults, reminiscent of a "treasure hunt". Four quests guide you through each stop looking for clues to solve the mystery and continue on your way. When you complete the entire route, you'll get the wording of the clue that will lead you to the treasure. You can choose shorter or longer routes:
- With Gendorf through the city centre - 2,5 km
- With Gendorf along the Harta - 5 km
- With Gendorf to Peklo (Hell) and back - 9 km
- With Gendorf to Kačák - 5,5 km
Hidden stories in Vrchlabí
The mobile game Hidden Stories takes you back in time to the past, where three stories introduce you to interesting personalities connected with Vrchlabí. You will always find an interesting story with small tasks and an easy sightseeing route not only around the city. You will get to know the factory owner Peter in the game A car for the Emperor and understand the role of Vrchlabí in the automotive industry. You will discover how valuable friendship can be in the difficult times of World War II and learn about the fate of native Viktor Kugler, who was not afraid to help Jews in difficult times, in the story Old Friends. Vesplachy Leisure Time Park
Take a few steps out of town, and you are in green countryside that will refresh your body and soul. Just come to relax and forget your everyday worries walking around a lake, on a causeway through a natural site, or sit down on the lake shore with a good coffee. Children may try their skills on a pumptrack, in a skatepark, on trampolines, ride a bike or enjoy the children’s playground.
The Krkonossky National Park visitor centre
The new Krkonossky National Park visitor centre follows up on the popular past exhibitions called Stone and Life and Man and the Mountains, in the Augustinian Monastery. The National Park Administration has created a new exhibition in the Krkonose Museum which documents the story of the Krkonose, reflecting both its unique nature and the coexistence of man and nature.

Turn the crank and the metal tube or poesiomat will offer you cultural, but also sports or natural icons associated with the town and the region. For example, the soundtrack from the film Hoří, má panenko, the sounds of the Elbe River or recordings of the Olympic medal rides of local natives Karolína Erbanová and Eva Samková.
The Krkonose Museum in Four Historical Houses
The four gable-roofed historic houses contain a rich exposition connected with the history of Vrchlabí, as well as Krkonoše craftsmanship and folk art.
The exhibition of the Krkonoše artist Eva Edler - Glass in Pictures (the opening took place on 9 April), which will draw you into the fascinating world of the symbiosis of glass and pictures. The exhibition will run until 1 September 2024.
Modern aqua centre and swimming pool
The pleasant surroundings of the new aquatic centre with a beautiful view of the wooden pier with a fisherman's house are just the right relaxation after a cold day or a spring trip. And there is something for everyone, both relaxation and fun: a swimming pool with four lanes, a paddling pool, a whirlpool, a water slide and slides, a wild river and a steam cabin.
