Natural Swimming in Kacak Lake
The lake offers pleasantly cold water in hot summers, but only at swimmers’ own risk. You can access it from a grassy beach, wooden pier or an angler’s cabin in the middle of the lake. A sandy bottom can be found on the western shore. Changing huts, outdoor showers, toilets and refreshments are available along with a children’s playground.
This natural swimming pool in the Vejsplachy resort is referred to as “Kacak” by the locals. It was used for duck breeding after it was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The depth generally varies from 0 to 2.5 m, and is some 1.2 m around the piers with access from the shore. Swimmers can use toilets and showers near the refreshments stall. An outdoor shower with drinking water and three changing huts are available near the beach on the western shore.
This natural site is not an official swimming pool, and can be used at swimmers’ own risk. Water quality is checked by the local public health office regularly in summers.
