Guided tours of Vrchlabí monuments

Library at Vrchlabí Palace

Visit the most interesting and normally closed sights of Vrchlabí. See the interior of the St. Lawrence Church, the monastery church, the palace and the Morzine Chapel.

During the summer holidays, the doors of the otherwise inaccessible Vrchlabí monuments open wide. The Krkonoše Regional Tourist Information Centre organises "Guided Tours of Vrchlabí Monuments", which will take you to the most beautiful places in the town.

Thanks to the tours, you will see the Church of St. Lawrence, which stands on the site of a single-nave Gothic church from the 14th century. You'll enter the Baroque monastery church of St. Augustine, where the three organs are currently on display, and you can climb up to the choir to see the interior of the entire church from above. You will also have a look inside the castle tomb of the Czernin-Morzín family, which is considered to be a miniature of the Church of St. Lawrence. And in the Renaissance palace you will visit the entrance hall and two meeting rooms (former library, knight's hall). In addition, you will learn interesting facts about Vrchlabí history, the founder of the town and other personalities.

During the tour, children can take part in a small quiz competition - they answer questions in a leaflet they receive when buying a ticket. They can pick up their reward at the information centre after the tour.

Tours of the four monuments are held in July and August on Mondays at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and on Thursdays at 11am and 1pm.
Admission: 100 CZK adults, 70 CZK children under 15, seniors over 65.

Guided tours of two monuments, the palace (entrance hall, library and knight's hall) and the palace chapel of the Czernin-Morzins, are held every Thursday at 3 pm.
Admission: 50 CZK, reduced 30 CZK

Guided tours leave from the information centre, where you can buy tickets and learn everything you need to know.

For groups outside the summer holidays we can arrange tours by prior arrangement. Take advantage of the June days and arrange a specific tour time at the Regional Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall building. We are happy to guide children from primary, kindergarten and secondary schools. For younger children we have prepared a small reward for a small knowledge quiz.
